How about John Waite solo pre Bad English...aka before he sucked.lol (Sorry Donna I find Bad English horrid)
Ashliegh
Ahhh, but if you go with John Waite, shouldn't you also go with Howard Jones? I always found them to go a bit hand in hand (even though Waite did rock a little harder).
How the hell do you find Ho Jo and Waite in the same style at all??? Waite was commercial pop type of thingy, and Ho Jo was borderline New Wave. Ho Jo and Joe Jackson are actually a little bit closer, not much, but a little.
Thanks for all the help. I'll probably take Ash's advice and get Soft Cell, Spandeau Ballet, and General Public. Both Howard Jones and Talk Talk are on the list of cd's that I'm getting. I already have Bad English and John Waite. Never really liked Crowded House.....and I heard Big Country switched styles quite a bit, after "In a Big Country", but I didn't know if anyone had heard all their stuff....so thanks again everyone.
BTW, I don't think Howard Jones and John Waite are that similar either. I like both though.
Raggz, Is Level 42 really that bad? I've only heard "something about you".
BTW, does anyone else here like Erasure? I think they were awesome. Outfield and Pet Shop Boys are 2 other gr. hits I listen to a lot.
Level 42 weren't THAT bad. Good musicians, good songs. Was aimed at adults rather than kids, I'd say. World Machine and Running In The Family were ok.
<font size="3" face="Arial">Erasure is one of my most hated groups EVER!!! Ugh. Remember, I came out of the Punk scene in the 80's, and I hung out in all the main clubs in this area, and dated a girl who was a dance club freak! She loved Erasure. Then after her I dated another girl who also loved that fucking band. Man, those guys drove me up a wall. Terrible stuff. Believe it or not, I would probably take Roxx Gang over Erasure!!! Until that post, I had successfully blocked that godawful band out of my head.Quote:

LOL!
That made my day!
Are you off today Carl?
Lord no. I work for a buncha wealthy white guys, you think they pay attention to MLK?
Just kidding. But nope, working. Well, I would be working much more if the State hadn't cut construction funding, and now we are slow. Slowest I have been in 12 years, as a matter of fact. Thank God for job security.
